My approach

I aim to support your child's personal development and prepare him or her for the future. I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in my settings which is a  statutory framework that sets the standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to eight.

All about me
I am offering a loving, caring and comfortable home from home care, as well as a fully reliable service for children and parents.

I am Ofsted registered (Grade "Outstanding" - November 2014) and belong to the PACEY and have certificates in home based childcare, paediatric first aid and hold a full PACEY Liability Insurance. I also hold an intermediate food hygiene certificate as well as the health & safety certificate and have the CYPW Level 3 diploma. Resently I also have gained the "Reading Quality Improvment Award".

As off January 2014 my settings has now the "Certificate in the Montessori Practice (CPD for Childminders)", accredited by Montessori Centre International.

I am acknowledged for my contribution to the research in this area and my settings are now Montessori Led & Inspired.

I do Forest schooling with children in my settings too.

All these are available for you to view and additional knowledge comes from raising my own child.

I feel that looking after children in a home base settings is more beneficial to child's individual care and development and also means that I am working closely with parents. If you have any further questions or would like to visit my setting please contact me.

My Settings
We work from a Barn Style Annex with lots of open space so children can move freely around the setting. We offer a wide range of activities which are available every day i.e. painting, sticking, drawing, model making, play dough and baking, cards, presents and decorations making for Christmas, Easter and other public holidays, etc.

I belong to the local Library which we attend regularly for story/singing time and so that children can pick and choose their own books to bring home.

I have a secure and enclosed garden with a Wendy house, swing, sandpit, lots of toys, tricycles and a small paddling pool for summer months.

We visit local parks and nature areas regularly. Also outings during school holidays to Zoo or farms etc - which are arranged with parents in advance.

I offer a wide range of stimulating and educational toys including toys which promote children’s imagination, dressing up and role play, etc.

I also promote a healthy approach to eating and offer cold and hot meals along with a sleeping area for naps.

If you have any further questions or would like to visit my setting please contact me.
