All about us
We are offering a loving, caring and comfortable home from home care, as well as a fully reliable service for children and parents.
My setting is Ofsted registered and we just had our inspection which we received Ofsted Grade "Outstanding" second time running. We belong to the PACEY, we have full safeguading training and all staff have paediatric first aid and I hold a full Liability Insurance. We also hold an intermediate food hygiene certificate as well as the health & safety certificate and I have the CYPW Level 3 diploma as well as "Reading Quality Improvment Award".
Our settings is "Certificate in the Montessori Practice (CPD for Childminders)", accredited by Montessori Centre International.
I am acknowledged for my contribution to the research in this area and my settings are now Montessori Led & Inspired.
We do Forest schooling with children on a regular basis and use the Courisity approch for children to learn.
We feel that looking after children in a more home base settings is more beneficial to child's individual care and development and also means that we are working closely with parents. If you have any
further questions or would like to visit my setting please contact me.
The Settings
We work from a Barn Style Annex with lots of open space so children can move freely around the setting. We offer a wide range of activities which are available every day i.e. painting, sticking,
drawing, model making, play dough and baking, cards, presents and decorations making for Christmas, Easter and other public holidays, etc.
I belong to the local Library which we attend regularly for story/singing time and so that children can pick and choose their own books to bring home.
I have a secure and enclosed garden with a Wendy house, swing, sandpit, lots of toys, tricycles and a small paddling pool for summer months.
We visit local parks and nature areas regularly. Also outings during school holidays to Zoo or farms etc - which are arranged with parents in advance.
I offer a wide range of stimulating and educational toys including toys which promote children’s imagination, dressing up and role play, etc.
I also promote a healthy approach to eating and offer cold and hot meals along with a sleeping area for naps.
